Excel Jupiter Concrete and Masonry, jupiterconcreteandmasonry.com, sales@jupiterconcreteandmasonry.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Excel Jupiter Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate, proposal or job you get from us. By using the site, asking for a quote or booking work with us, you agree to them.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site, and call us before you book so we can talk it through. A signed written proposal for your job comes first wherever it says something different from these terms.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in Jupiter, FL, and we also do concrete work for homes in the cities around it. That includes foundation and block wall work, brick and stone repair, pointing, pavers, walkways, retaining walls, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens. You can see the full list on our home page and read more about our crew on our About page.

What we describe on this site is general information about the trade. It isn't advice for your house in particular, because every wall, slab and chimney is different. The exact work we'll do is the work written in your proposal.

Estimates and pricing

Quotes are free and given on site, and asking for one doesn't commit you to anything. Your estimate is based on what we can see on the day, the materials you pick, how easy the work area is to reach and current material prices.

Masonry often hides problems until it's opened up, like soft block behind stucco, rusted rebar or a weak footing. If we find something like that, we stop, show you, and agree on the change and its price with you in writing before we go on. Unless the proposal says otherwise, an estimate holds for 30 days, after which material costs may have moved and we may need to update it.

Scheduling, delays and cancellation

We'll give you a start date when you book, and we'll keep you posted if it moves. Rain, heat, wind, permit and inspection timing, material delivery and what we find once the work is open can all push a schedule, and we aren't responsible for delays caused by things outside our control.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered special materials or started work, you'll owe for the materials we can't return and the work already done, as set out in your proposal. We may cancel or pause a job if the site isn't safe or accessible, if a required permit or approval isn't in place, or if payments fall behind.

Payment

Your proposal will spell out the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Larger jobs are usually paid in stages tied to progress, so you're never paying far ahead of the work.

Final payment is due when the work in the proposal is finished, unless the proposal says otherwise. If a payment is late, we may stop work until it's settled and add reasonable collection costs allowed under Florida law.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We're fully licensed and insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something we built or repaired isn't right because of how we did it, tell us and we'll come back and look at it.

The guarantee covers our workmanship, not everything that can happen to masonry over time. It doesn't cover damage from storms, flooding, settling soil, tree roots, vehicles, other contractors, poor drainage you didn't ask us to fix, or normal weathering and color changes in brick, stone, mortar and concrete. Any warranty on materials comes from their maker, and we'll pass along what they give us.

Apart from what's written here and in your proposal, the website and our services are provided as they are, without other promises, to the extent the law allows.

Limits on our liability

If something goes wrong with a job, the most we owe you is the amount you paid us for that job, to the extent Florida law allows. We aren't liable for indirect losses like lost rent, lost use of part of your property or costs you take on because of a delay.

We also aren't responsible for problems caused by conditions we couldn't reasonably see or that you didn't tell us about, such as buried lines, existing damage or earlier work done by others. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't let a business limit.

If we disagree

Most problems get solved with a phone call, so please call us at (561) 532-0289 first and give us a fair chance to make it right. If we can't settle it between us, we'll both try mediation before going to court.

If a dispute still isn't resolved, it will be handled in the state or county courts that serve Jupiter, Florida, in Palm Beach County.

Governing law

These terms, your use of this site and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. A job you've already signed for stays under the terms in place when you signed, unless we both agree in writing to change them.
